[Serge Houde] Harry Parlington
As one of Canada’s most versatile actors, Houde has made a career of playing good guys and bad guys, in both English and French. Audiences first noticed him in Denys Arcand’s Love & Human Remains, playing a bisexual sadomasochist cowboy.
He then went on to receive critical acclaim for his riveting portrayal of Pierre Laporte, in what many consider to be Canada’s most controversial film to date, Pierre Falardeau’s Octobre. Recent TV credits include co-starring on 39 episodes of Largo Winch, The Dead Zone, John Doe, Cold Squad, Smallville, Dead Like Me, Beggars & Choosers, The Lathe of Heaven and Taken. As for film credits, they include John Woo’s Paycheck opposite Ben Affleck, Frank Oz’s The Score with Ed Norton chasing Robert DeNiro, the teen film The Perfect Score, Eddy Murphy’s comedy Pluto Nash and Michael Caton-Jones’ The Jackal.
Houde has just completed filming in Vancouver on both Richard Bell’s disturbing new film Eighteen and the CBC’s The New Beachcombers Christmas. |
